TIME FLIES with Lisa Moore (piano) at the Center for New Music

December 18, 2016

TIME FLIES
Virtuosi friends Kate Stenberg (violin) and Lisa Moore (piano) unite for a special concert inspired by memories, place, time and flight. Not since an unforgettable 1989 summer music festival in Idaho have these two musicians performed together. Remembering that unique bond, Stenberg and Moore join forces at the innovative Center for New Music, combining powerful duos and solos that celebrate life and friendship. Time Flies presents music by Philip Glass, Somei Satoh, Bay Area’s Amy X Neuburg, Michael Gordon (Bang on a Can co-director), Martin Bresnick (celebrating his 70th birthday) and the Australian composer Kate Moore - the west coast premiere of her Sliabh Beagh (borderlands) for a singing pianist.
