The Stenberg/Green/Scott Trio performs on the SF Sound’s West Oakland Sound Series (Kate Stenberg violin, Linda Green viola and Monica Scott cello).

The evening will include a lot of the miniature creations of Hungarian centenarian György Kurtág - pieces he calls "Signs, Games and Messages" - interspersed with Monica’s own transcriptions of Leoš Janáček's On an Overgrown Path and a couple of pieces she composed inspired by, and in hommage to, both Janáček and Kurtág. There will also be some Machaut and Bach, which Kurtág transcribed for piano 4 hands ~ played by Hadley McCarroll and Kymry Esainko.
